Tag Heuer’s carrera line of watches are quoted by the company, “The classic yet contemporary sports watch inspired by Motor Racing.” And personally, I fully agree with the statement. Carrera line of watches were first introduced in 1963 as a modern and contemporary watch that had its inspiration from motor racing. Honestly, this watch of Tag has nothing that particularly stands out of the crowd from. However, if you shift perspective, this watch does everything that watch has to do without any unnecessary flare. Even though carrera is titled as a sport watch, the modern yet classic design can easily suit as a dress watch. Also, its modern design and the price of this watch attracts people of younger age that seeks to enter the world of watches. Calibre 5 movement of Tag is not the most advanced or complicated movement in the world, but as I mentioned earlier, it gets its job done. In short, Tag Heuer Carrera Calibre 5 is a all around balanced watch. Even though it does not contain any flamboyant features, its understated yet modern design and mechanical movement makes this a very attractive entry watch of choice.
